- The Land Act, 2012
- The Land Registration Act, 2012
- The National Land Commission Act, 2012
The forum will appeal to leaders within this Cosmopolitan County and its environs to heed and share this message for the sake of a peaceful and united Kenya.
Other Forums
Other similar forums have been held in Kisumu for Nyanza, Kakamega for Western, Mombasa for the Coast, Kajiado for Kajiado and Narok Counties and Thika for Kiambu County. These forums have helped to empower leaders with key messages which can help them confront any incidents of incitement into violence on account of land issues. The forums have also helped local leaders to understand the new land administration institutional framework and prepared them to be able to identify and appoint suitable leaders into the new County level land institutions.
The forums have been well attended by the provincial administration, peace committee leaders, religious leaders and the media in each of the regions. Key resource materials to empower the leaders have also been distributed.
